SixScents Parfums was Joseph Quartana’s collaborative fragrance project founded in 2008.
The project paired celebrated avant-garde fashion designers with accomplished perfumers and asked a radical question: what happens when a designer’s world is treated as material for scent? SixScents turned runway atmosphere, visual identity, and conceptual fashion into limited-edition perfumes.
Across multiple series, SixScents connected designers, perfumers, retailers, packaging, installation, and cultural collaborators into a serious fragrance platform. It formed the bridge between Joseph’s work in avant-garde fashion and the fully authored fragrance world of PARFUMS QUARTANA.
SixScents Parfums was the hinge between Seven New York and PARFUMS QUARTANA. At Seven New York, Joseph had learned how fashion creates atmosphere around the body. SixScents asked perfumers to translate that atmosphere into something invisible, wearable, and intimate.
SixScents Parfums treated fragrance as a cultural medium rather than a beauty accessory. Each series became a meeting point for designer vision, perfumer craft, limited-edition object design, and retail theatre. SixScents also proved that Joseph could assemble serious creative systems around scent before founding a house under his own name.
PARFUMS QUARTANA begins where SixScents leaves off. The collaborative platform becomes a single authored world.
