Founder Joseph Quartana with Soleil Invisible perfumer Christina Christie

After producing 27 award-winning fragrances for SIXSCENTS PARFUMS from 2008 to 2012, I founded PARFUMS QUARTANA in 2014 to focus on creating stunningly unique, masterfully blended conceptual perfumes from the world's finest essential oils and aroma molecules.

Our ethos is simple and firm: the perfumer and myself won't release a fragrance until we feel it can't be further improved and agree it's ready, whether that takes months or years.

This uncompromising commitment to excellence has won PARFUMS QUARTANA two of the most prestigious blindfolded prizes on Earth, in a row: The Fragrance Foundation's Perfume Extraordinaire in 2017 for the smoky spiced floral Poppy Soma extrait de parfum followed by the Art & Olfaction Independent Category Award for the Space-Age, gasoline-infused Ierofante parfum extrait in 2023.

Joseph Quartana wins the newly debuted Fragrance Foundation "Best Indie" Perfume in 2011 for SixScents Parfums

Founded and curated by Joseph Quartana from 2008 to 2012, SIXSCENTS PARFUMS was a collaborative fragrance project that paired visionary fashion designers with celebrated perfumers. The initiative had released twenty-seven fragrances across four limited-edition series and was awarded Best New Fragrance (2012) by FGI International for Nappa Noir, Best Indie (2011) by The Fragrance Foundation for #087 and Ascent, and a Cannes Gold Lion for Innovation in Packaging in 2009.
